Refund Policy

When you can get your money back for capshak credits, how to ask, and how long Zarinpal and Stripe refunds take.

capshak sells credits, not subscriptions. This policy explains when we refund a credit purchase, what happens when a job fails, and how to ask for a refund.

Unused credits: 14 days

You can get a full refund for a credit purchase within 14 days of buying it, as long as none of the credits from that purchase have been used.

  • The 14 days start on the date of the payment.
  • We check the credit history of your account. If any credits from that purchase were spent, the purchase is no longer eligible for a refund, except in the case of a service error described below.
  • When we refund a purchase, its credits are removed from your account.
  • Free credits, such as the credits you get at sign-up or in a promotion, are not refundable and have no cash value.

Failed jobs are released automatically

You do not need to ask for a refund when something goes wrong with a job.

  • Before a paid job starts, such as transcription, translation, proofreading or an AI editor request, the needed credits are reserved.
  • When the job finishes, you are charged only for what was actually used, and the rest is returned.
  • If the job fails, the reserved credits are released automatically. They go back to your balance right away.
  • If AI proofreading fails during transcription, you keep the raw transcript and are not charged for the proofreading.

You can see every charge and release in the credit history on your Billing page.

Consumed credits

Credits that have been used for a job that completed are not refundable. This is because using a credit means we have already paid the speech-to-text or AI provider for that work.

The exception is a service error. If a job was charged but did not work because of a problem on our side, for example credits were taken but no result was delivered, or the result was clearly broken because of a fault in capshak, tell us. We will look into it and return the credits to your account or refund the payment.

Results you are not happy with, such as transcription mistakes in a noisy recording, are not a service error. You can fix captions by hand or with AI proofreading.

How to ask for a refund

Email info@mindio.ir and include:

  • the mobile number of your capshak account;
  • the payment reference from the payment confirmation (the Zarinpal reference number, or the Stripe receipt);
  • the date and amount of the payment;
  • for a service error, the project name and a short description of what went wrong.

We reply by email and tell you whether the refund is approved. Your payments are also listed, with date and amount, on your Billing page.

How the money comes back

Refunds go back through the same payment method you used. We cannot send refunds to a different card or account.

  • Zarinpal (Iranian bank cards): the amount is refunded in toman to the same bank card used for the payment.
  • Stripe (international cards): the amount is refunded in US dollars to the original card. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it, and the final amount may differ slightly because of exchange rates.

After we approve a refund, it is usually processed within 7–10 business days. The exact time depends on your bank or card issuer.

Chargebacks

If you think a payment is wrong, please contact us first. We can usually solve it faster than a dispute with your bank. If a chargeback is opened, we may pause the credits from that purchase until the dispute is closed.

Changes

We may update this policy. Refund requests are handled under the policy that was in force on the date of your purchase.
