The AI editor is a chat inside the editor. You say what you want, and it edits the video for you with the same tools you use by hand. You can watch each step happen on the timeline.
What it can do
- Cut and tighten: remove filler words and long pauses, keep the best parts, split, trim and move clips.
- Captions: style them, fix mistakes, edit their text.
- Add titles, stickers, sound effects, music, B-roll, overlays, effects and transitions.
- Animate texts and overlays with keyframes, change clip speed, add freeze frames and punch-ins.
- Reframe, change color and adjust the audio mix, including syncing cuts to music beats.
- Look at frames of the preview to check its own work.
Use it
- Open the AI tool.
- Type a request, or tap one of the suggestions under Try.
- Click Send and watch it work. Click Stop at any time.
- When it is done, you will see Changes applied to your edit. Review the result in the viewer.
- Click Keep to accept it, or Undo all to put everything back as it was.
Each request is one undo step, however many changes it made.
Example requests
- “Cut the intro and add a title.”
- “Tighten it: remove the filler words and long pauses.”
- “Reframe for 9:16 and make sure the speaker stays in frame.”
- “Add a strong hook title for the first seconds.”
- “Add fitting background music, ducked under the voice.”
- “Add punch-ins on the most important words.”
Select an item first (a text, a clip, a caption) and the request applies to it. The selection shows as a pill in the message box; remove the pill to leave it out.
Saved chats
Chats are saved with the project. The newest one opens when you open the project. Click Chats to see older ones, and New chat to start fresh. If a chat gets very long, start a new one.
What is sent
The AI receives your messages and a description of the edit (clips, captions, texts and settings), not your video file. Only when it decides to look at a frame does it receive a small snapshot of the preview.
Cost
Each message you send to the AI editor counts as one request against your plan: 30 a month on Bronze, 150 on Silver and 600 on Gold. The count resets every 30 days from the day your plan started. See Plans and pricing.
Tips
- Be specific: name the moment (“at 0:12”), the style or the mood you want.
- Ask for one thing at a time for the most predictable results.
- If it stops after many steps, ask it to continue.
