Speech recognition is good, but it can mishear names, brands and technical terms, and it often gets punctuation wrong. AI proofreading cleans this up for you in one go.
What it fixes
- Misheard words and names.
- Spelling mistakes.
- Persian half-spaces (ZWNJ), as in «میشود» and «ویدیوها».
- Punctuation.
It keeps the spoken wording. It does not rewrite, shorten or summarize what was said. Words the AI keeps also keep their original timing, so word animations stay in sync.
Proofread while you transcribe
- Open the Captions tool.
- Turn on Fix typos & punctuation with AI.
- Optional: in the hint box, type the names and terms that appear in the video, separated by commas, for example a brand, a product and a guest’s name.
- Click Generate captions. You will see Transcribing and fixing….
Proofread captions you already have
- Open the Captions tool, Captions tab.
- Open the Fix typos with AI section below the list, add a hint if you like, and click its Fix typos with AI button.
- When it finishes you will see how many captions were fixed, or Nothing to fix — the captions look right.
Every fix is one undo step. Click Undo if you don’t like the result.
What is sent
Only the caption text (and your hint) is sent, to Anthropic’s Claude model. Your video and audio are not sent.
Cost
AI proofreading is included in every plan. See Plans and pricing.
When proofreading is skipped
If you proofread during transcription and the AI step fails, you still get your captions. They are the raw transcript, and the proofreading is not charged. You will see this message:
Captions are ready, but the AI fix-up failed (not charged). Run “Fix typos with AI” to try again.
Click Fix typos with AI later to try again.
Tips
- A good hint makes the biggest difference. List people, places and brand names exactly as you want them spelled.
- Proofread before you translate, so every translation starts from clean text. See Translate captions.
- Always read the result once. AI can still miss a word in noisy audio.
- For small fixes you can always edit a caption by hand. See Make captions.
