Caption styles in capshak are templates you can adjust. What you see in the preview is exactly what ends up in the exported video.
Pick a template
- Open the Captions tool and switch to the Style tab.
- Under Templates, click a card. Each card is drawn with the real renderer, so it shows the actual look.
There are 24 ready-made templates, including more than 8 made for Persian, such as Vazir, Lalezar, Titr, Kufi box, Persian bubbles and Nastaliq. When your captions are in Persian, the Persian templates come first.
Change the text
- Font: choose from 53 bundled fonts, 48 of them Persian (for example Vazirmatn, Estedad, Lalezar, Titr and Noto Nastaliq).
- Size, Weight and UPPERCASE for Latin text.
- Colors: Text, Highlight (the spoken word), Outline and Outline width, Shadow and Glow.
- Background: None, Box, Full bar or Bubbles (a bubble behind each word), with its own color and opacity.
- Words on screen: how many words show at once.
Animate the spoken word
Under Animation, the Spoken word setting decides how the current word stands out: Karaoke, Word pop, Bounce, Highlight box, Underline, Spotlight (dim the rest), Reveal or Rise in. Because every word has its own timing, the effect follows the speech exactly.
Show and hide motion
In Show & hide, choose how each caption page enters (Show) and leaves (Hide): fade, slides, zooms, pop, bounce, flip, spin, blur, wipe, stretch, typewriter or cascade. Set Show length and Hide length, and use Preview on the video to see it. Hover a card to preview it.
Position
- Drag the captions up or down in the viewer, or use Vertical position.
- Turn on Safe zones (social UI) in the viewer controls to keep captions clear of app buttons on TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
Use your own font (My fonts)
- Open the Font list and click My fonts — add your own.
- Click Add font files and choose .ttf, .otf, .woff or .woff2 files. Add all weights of a family at once.
- The font appears under My fonts (this device).
Your font files stay in this browser and are never uploaded. Only add fonts you are licensed to use. Italic files are skipped. If you open the project on another device that lacks the font, it is marked missing and a fallback font is shown until you add it there too.
Tips
- Style changes are undoable, like every other edit.
